Momma i Am Coming Home
Just got done reading all the comments and we have enjoyed reading them all. It brings great comfort to know that we have such a supportive and loving bunch of family and friends. We are truly blessed by all of the relationships we have with all of you. Glenn, I don’t know who is more emotional you or me. God has truly broken my heart on this trip.
We had a long but good day. The only person who really slept last night was Micah. Between the dogs and just not really on their time schedule, Sarah and I didn’t get much sleep. Because of that we got a late start to the day since we were to meet at 10 to go see birth mother. Once we left the hotel none of the drivers nor our guest knew where the place was we were suppose to meet the birth mothers. We finally find the place after 20 minutes.
Very nice orphanage. This was the orphanage were Micah was dropped off at. We were able to see the crib that he first stayed in. A little before 12 Micah’s birth mother showed up with his half brother, Nahum. We had a lengthy and emotional visit. I was able to pray and promise her that I would fully adopt Micah into my family, that he would be treated the same as my biological children, and I would raise him to love God. She even had the chance to feed him. Right now I really don’t have the words to describe all that went on between us.
After that we then went back to Hope to pick up Micah’s visa. While there, they were preparing coffee so we stuck around and had some coffee. By this time we were emotional and physically drained so we went to eat at a place called, Top View. It was a very nice restaurant on the side of hill that overlooked Addis. We then came back to the hotel and are preparing for our return to the US.
We have mixed emotions as we sit here knowing that in about an hour we are going to be going to the airport and leave. Part of us wants to stay and other wants to leave. We have been on an emotional rollercoaster ever since we left but it has been prayer and God that has kept us going. The greatest comfort to us has come from Proverbs 3:5-6: TRUST the Lord with ALL of your heart, and do not lean on your on understanding and John 14:18: I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you. These two scriptures have been our rock on which we have stood on. Matthew has attempted twice to write all of his feelings and what God has been and is doing to me but I haven’t been successful. Maybe it will come out soon.
This is probably the last post I will make until I get to D.C. which will be 7:30am on Saturday unless the airport here in Addis has wireless. Please pray for our return. Pray that all three of us will be able to sleep (No Dogs Yeah!!!), bags make it home, and that we are able to get a bassinet seat.
Girls – we are coming home soon! We can’t wait to see you and hear all about your week! Micah is ready to wave hi and give kisses!
See you All soon!!!
Praise God! We'll see you soon.

GOD IS SO GOOD!!! Have a safe trip home...I love you all! ~Anita
My family has been blessed to have "found" the Dallasburg family and we have really begun to feel so much closer to many of the Dallasburg members. Jonathan and I decided last Saturday night to join Dallasburg, but decided we would wait until you return with Micah. We want you all there! Morgan also asked me if she could join Dallasburg too! I see the great things you all are doing and we want to be a part of that! We can't wait to welcome Micah home and become a part of Dallasburg! Our prayers will be with you until you get home to the girls! I hugged Emily last night (against her will but I promised you I would) and she then told me she would like to come back to the next playdate! Lilly is excited about you coming home! We look forward to seeing your family completed!!!!
I'm so very, very thrilled for your family, and I have to tell you, I cried when I read about you all meeting with Micah's birth mother. I cry every time I think about it! What a precious, beautiful baby boy! And with the love symbol of Jesus Christ on his belly!!
It is really hard to find words to describe how happy I am for your Family. I just thank you both, for your obedience to Christ! You are both truly examples of what God will do if we completley surrender ourselves to him each day! I pray for Micah's birth mother, that she will have peace now that she has met his new parents, I pray that through the work of the Holy Spirit that if she is not a believer, she will accept Christ into her heart understanding that even if they do not see each other again in this life that they will one day be reunited again to live forever and ever. I pray for You Matthew & Sarah my Brother and Sister in Christ who I have watched grow physcially and Spiritually, You are truly a Blessing and an inspiration to me and cannot express to you the Joy that I have in my heart for you as I write this. I pray for Lily and Emily your two beautiful daughters who already are sharing Christ through the things that they say and do, they are a testament and a reflection of what they see and learn at home, I pray that God will guard and protect them. I know that they cannot wait to hug and kiss and love on thier new Brother, and finally for Micah I pray that as he grows up, that he will always know and feel accepted and loved not only his immediate family, but also from his extended and church family family as well. I pray that one day he will call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and will make him Lord of his life, and that you will use him for Great and Mighty things in your Kingdom! I thank you God for allowing me to serve with the people of Dallasburg Baptist Church, and I pray that each of us will continually fall on our faces before you, that we will be broken (as Matthew has spoken about many times throughout this experience) for it is in these times that you can get our attention and make our focus completely on You the Giver of Life! Thank you God for Adopting each of us into you Kingdom! AMEN

The song Lord I'm Coming Home keeps going through my mind after reading your latest entry. My prayer is that you all will be united together as a complete family soon and then with your church family. Thank you for your obedience in following God's direction and for the example you both have been for all of us. What JOY there is when we follow the letters of this word by putting Jesus first (J), Others next (O), and Yourself last (Y). Look forward to seeing all of you.
Love and blessings,
Cindy
