Section 6, Chapters 17-19

OK...let try to press forward a bit on our book study.  Again, I ask for forgiveness in my delay in posting questions for reflection.

Here we go:

Chapter 17:

1.  Read Revelation 22:4 again.  What will all joy be measured by in heaven?

2.  On page 177, the 5th full paragraph starts with, "Ironically, some people who are the most determined to avoid the sacrilege of putting things before God miss a thousand daily opportunities to thank him."  Read this paragraph again and then comment on if you are guilty of this and how this truth is changing you daily.

Chapter 18:

1.  What will be the center and joy of heaven?  Do you truly long for this?  If so, why?  If not, how is it changed in your life?

2.  Read the last 3 paragrpahs of this chapter again (starting at the bottom of page 192) and share how this truth is crafting in you holiness.

Chapter 19:

1.  Is worship exciting to you or is boredom as many feel according to Alcorn?  Share how worship of Christ is becoming more exciting and all-encompassing for you.

2.  Read the section "Absorbing, but not absorbed' which starts on page 200.  Share your thoughts on your need for the church in your day to day life.  How would you respond to someone that says to you, "I love Jesus, but I don't need to go to church to prove my life for Him."

I look forward to your thoughts and I will try to post new questions on the next section soon.  We will meet again to discuss these chapters as a group.

Blessings!
